We believe that quality care from a young age has a huge impact on children’s future successes. Children are born ready to learn, and we have a unique way of encouraging their thirst for knowledge. Our mission is to support families with young children by providing a safe, structured, nurturing environment in which children can play, learn, and grow.
It takes a big heart to shape little minds.
What we offer:
Play Based Learning
Our Play to Learn Curriculum offers teachers flexibility in lesson planning as themes are based on the children’s interests and skills. Children’s learning is enhanced by sensory-rich environments and meaningful experiences.
Enrichment Opportunities
Our program includes weekly Language, Arts, Physical Fitness and STEAM enrichment opportunities. Extracurricular activities are available with additional memberships.
Healthy Relationships
Children learn best when they feel safe and loved. Our teachers and staff create a welcoming, family atmosphere so that children feel secure and are able to thrive.
Appreciation and Respect for Nature
Teachers plan regular opportunities for outdoor exploration. Children learn about plants, animals, insects, and seasonal changes by spending time cultivating in our garden area.
Character Development
Through modeling and focus on social/emotional development, our goal is to not only shape little minds, but little hearts as well. At Adora Childcare, children are treated with respect and learn the values of teamwork, empathy, and self-awareness. We also team with local and national charitable organizations to model the importance of community service and giving.
Developmental Assessments
Teachers use developmentally appropriate strategies in planning lessons and introducing materials to the classroom. Individual child assessments are conducted and shared through parent-teacher conferences.
Nutritious Meals
We provide nutritious breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks that meet USDA My Plate food intake guidelines. We are a peanut- and pork-free facility and can accommodate vegetarian diets.
Safety
Health and safety are of utmost importance, especially now. We continue to observe DSS and CDC guidelines for infection control. All adults must wear face coverings in the buildings and when social distancing is not possible. Our policies are updated as new information is made available regarding COVID-19.
